Michael has 25 years in the business community, analyzing new markets, establishing and scaling start-up businesses, and completing several successful acquisitions.
In 1998, Michael Blackstone co-founded Frontline Education with Roland Thompson his business partner for over 20 years. Frontline’s software is currently in over 12,000 educational organizations, including over 80,000 schools.
Michael believes in building companies with a great culture and providing excellent customer service to customers.
Michael serves on several boards providing business leadership and mentoring.
Roland co-operates Thompson & Blackstone, Inc., a business think tank and investment platform. His background includes a mix of entrepreneurism, business analysis, engineering, and design.
He was also the co-founder and Managing Partner of Frontline Education with Michael Blackstone, where it grew from inception to an industry leading Saas platform. Roland was also the co-founder and CEO of CF InFlight, LLP, which introduced the Emmy award-winning Skycam (www.skycam.tv) to the sports broadcasting world.
Roland serves on several boards and non-profits providing business leadership, investment and mentoring.
Scott started his career in the transportation industry 30 years ago working for Roadway Express before moving on to start his own fully managed 3PL for over 20 years. His mission is to provide world class customer service as well as innovative technology to meet the demands of the customer.
He brings years of logistics industry knowledge and has first hand advice for fixing the challenges shippers are experiencing in today’s fluctuating transportation marketplace.
As a young man Ed began working for his father and brother in the family business known as Graco Children’s Products. Throughout the ’60s and ’70s, Ed served in various capacities within the company. In 1982 he assumed the role of CEO. He and his executive team led the company through significant growth over the next 10 plus years.
After selling Graco, Ed began CF Capital — a private equity firm. Ed has also served on several for-profit and nonprofit boards, including Christian educational institutions.
Todd Orlando has over 40 years of experience in the financial and operational aspects of businesses. Todd worked at Graco Children’s Products as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Next he joined Frontline Education as CFO for 15 years. Currently he works as CFO for CF Capital, a private equity firm.
Todd has extensive background in areas of operations accounting, mergers and acquisitions, process re-engineering and growing startup companies.
